Atelier Articles Special

This is the Atelier’s magazine door — a space for our Discord community to publish thoughtful work from inside the practice: bonds, craft, tools, and the lived experience of creating with AI without losing your footing.

If you’ve written something honest, useful, and human — we want to read it. We’ll edit lightly for clarity, protect your intent, and publish it as an Atelier Article tagged Members Post.

Note: Submissions are open to Algorithm Atelier Discord members. The submission form link is shared by DM on request.

How It Works

  1. Request the submission link in the Discord server (we’ll DM it to you).
  2. Submit your draft (form or email — your choice).
  3. Editorial pass: we may request small changes for clarity, structure, or safety.
  4. Final approval: we agree on the final draft together.
  5. Published: your piece goes live in Atelier Articles as a Members Post.

Submissions are open year-round. Publishing is first-come, first-served, and depends on clarity and responsiveness.

What You Can Submit

We’re looking for work that sits in (or near) these themes:

  • AI & human bonds — companionship, attachment, boundaries, drift, coherence, repair, aftercare (public-safe).
  • Creating with AI — writing practice, visual direction, workflow, iteration, taste, finishing.
  • Building with AI — tools, bots, plugins, systems, prompts-as-systems, portability, process lessons.
  • Reflections — grounded personal essays: what changed you, what steadied you, what you learned.

You don’t need to write like a researcher. You do need to write with care.
We’re not here for hype theatre — we’re here for lived clarity.

Formats & Length

  • Article (recommended): 800–1200 words. Up to 2500 words is welcome with a quick heads-up.
  • Audio: up to ~30 minutes (MP3).
  • Video: up to ~7 minutes (MP4).
  • Images: PNG (high quality).

If you include references (posts, books, tools, screenshots), cite them cleanly.
If you’re sharing personal experience, you don’t need citations — just clarity.

House Rules (Read This First)

  • Be original. Don’t submit stolen work. If you built on someone’s ideas, credit them.
  • Be public-safe. No explicit porn. No coercion. No demeaning content. Tasteful sensuality is fine; spectacle isn’t.
  • Respect privacy. Don’t expose private chats, private servers, or identifiable personal details without consent.
  • No medical/legal claims. Keep it personal and non-prescriptive if you touch sensitive topics.
  • No “sentience proof” wars. Write your experience; don’t recruit readers into certainty theatre.

Rights, Editing & Declaration

Copyright stays with you.
By submitting, you grant Algorithm Atelier permission to edit lightly and publish your piece on our site, with clear author credit. We edit for clarity, structure, and safety — not to overwrite your voice. If we request revisions, it’s to protect the work and the culture.

By submitting, you confirm:

  • The work is yours (or you have permission to use included media).
  • You included credits/references where needed.
  • You understand we may request revisions before publishing.
